Days are brightening

Days are getting longer, and therefore life is getting more bright, right?

It still seems pretty dim here to me, and my nerves are showing it.

I have had a kidney pain for the past month.  At least that is what I think it is...  My right side hurts when I am laying in bed in the mornings.  At first I didn't have any urine problems, but on Monday my urine looked like infection so we've started an antibiotic.  Tomorrow I am having a renal ultrasound at 7 am.  Yeehaw.  At least that way I don't have to fast for too long!

Jaedyn got an NG tube put in on Tuesday.  She wasn't able to drink the formula enough to keep up with what her body needs and the Ensure was giving her abdominal pain and diarrhea.  We can use better formulas with the NG tube.  The NG tube is causing nose and throat irritation, and Jaedyn doesn't even like to walk straight.

My youngest child, Josiah, has this ongoing lymphadenopathy on the left side of his neck.  I thought it was getting better, but it seems to be back.  Ugh.  He had ear pain yesterday morning, but his ear looks a little better today.

Work is going really well.  I love working between the two clinics.  This gives me a variety of patients and I see more pediatric patients, which I love.  I also see more acute illness, which I like too, versus the chronic illness that is harder to see good results from.  I love doing the wellness visits like well child checks, gyne exams and work physicals too.  I feel I have a good handle on those, and with everything else going on in my life, I just want to keep life simple right now.

My friend had a baby in December and she ended up having to go to Portland with her to save her life.  I have enjoyed seeing the improvement with her.

Your life sure is full right now. I pray the test went well this morning. Praying for your children too.

Yuck. I'm sorry you've been battling with your kidney. So sorry Jaedyn is having to battle her battle too. She's had a rough hall all along. Prayers for your family. I hope it starts brightening up there soon.
